When I went to my senior prom, life was so much simpler then. No limos, no prom garter for the girls, no prom favors, or personalized prom favors, just a nice dress, with any luck a corsage and shoes then we were ready to go. Nowadays, it is truly a huge expense for the parents in most instances. My son has gone to prom every year since he was a sophomore. The male puts out money for the tickets and splits the cost of the limo with their other male friends, pay for their tux, a corsage and the pictures from the prom. This is my son’s last prom (I hope) being a senior. I am also helping my sister by picking up my niece’s wedding garter and wedding favors. Her wedding is 2 weeks after the prom. We have a busy month socially. I’m looking forward to the wedding reception.
